Below you can see the work I’ve achieved in the last six months. It’s a combination of:
Conducting research (user and stakeholder interviews), analysing & synthesising research, designing solutions for customer pain points
and business opportunities, running experiments, working with engineers to implement solutions and stakeholder management.
While working on the new ABC News App, we up-skilled the development team (designers and engineers) and made sure the team has a clear mission and vision. We created a healthy backlog with validated and designed features (as we used a dual track approach).
These are the main features we shipped, plus the app went through a complete rebranding.
In the process itself we worked with Data Scientists, the Design Lange Systems team and many others. We ran many ideation sessions and lots of user research, aligned with the web news team and managed crucial stakeholders. What you see here is just a tiny glimpse of the work we did.

This is a little video which I recorded just after the release:
You can find the link to the App Store and to the Play Store here.
EstiMate is designed to facilitate the agile estimating without the hassles of having physical cards. This consensus based digital technique allows the agile teams or the users to estimate their product backlogs in a easy and effective way.
At this point the app focused on estimation using different scales (Fibonacci, Doubles, T-Shirt). Once the team member has made a selection the will experience the complexity of their estimation (through visual and tactile). Up next we will implement remote estimation for team members working in different locations.
And here is a little video demonstrating the app.
You can download the Android app here. The iOS app is currently in review and will follow soon.
Scentre Group (owner of Westfield) tasked us to validate concepts which another company had produced. We conducted customer research and evaluated the concepts. It didn’t take long and we knew the company did not explore the problem space, so we had to do it. As part of this project I prototyped a fully functional chatbot to test desirability in the real world.
Here is a video of the chatbot:
I’m a big advocate for designing with data aka. making evidence based decisions. In the last years I’ve spend a lot of time conducting qualitative research and fell in love with it. It was obvious that at some point I would equally fall in love with quantitative data.
Here is a sneak peak at a library I’m currently working on titled “Product Measurement Guide”.
And again a little video 📹
