FLOW

What is Flow? Flow is an app that enables the user to reduce water usage and in turn, save money, while helping the environment. 

How does it work? Flow connects to a smart water meter via WiFi. Then, the user sets the previous water bill as a bench mark. Flow will measure the water consumption against this reference point each month and challenge the user to keep conserving water. During this period, Flow allows the user to monitor water usage and identify trends and times of excessive use. With this knowledge and understanding, the user can then take action.  

 

The user will be introduced to the app through the on-boarding process.

What's happening during a month? The app starts to measure against the last water bill. The consumption is visually displayed and with time and more water usage, the water level will rise. The user can access information on how to save water and use an analytic mode to understand the water consumption. After the user has passed the 75% mark,the water will slowly turn red. It's a call for action.

WILD WALKS 

Brief: Analyse and improve the existing Wild Walks app.
Deliverables: Information architecture and wireframes.

The existing Wild Walks app is mainly used by hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. Many people are interested in the content, but unfortunately the website and the app leave the user disoriented. 

Analysis.  What's not working? I conducted a lot of user testing to identify the biggest pain points. 

Information Architecture. Organizing the needed content in a logical way. The users needs are always first. 

 

After sketching lots of wireframes and understanding the users needs. I created a prototype to test and validate my findings. Afterwards I tried to simplify and streamline the navigation to it's bare minimum.
